Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro dismissed a claim from Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance, in which the Ohio senator alleged in a post on the social platform X that voters being turned away due to long lines in Bucks County was \u201cvoter fraud.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s just more bull\u2014- from J.D. Vance,\u201d Shapiro told Fox News\u2019s Bret Baier, who asked the governor about \u201csome lines that were shut down by, it looked like Democratic operatives who stopped a line in Bucks County.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRemember, Bret, our system is run by Republican and Democratic clerks of elections in our 67 counties. It\u2019s overseen by my secretary of state, Bret, who is a Republican,\u201d Shapiro said on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think everybody needs to take a deep breath and understand that it is our fellow Pennsylvanians who are running these elections, and we will, again, have a free and fair, safe and secure election,\u201d Shapiro added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance made a post on the social platform X on Thursday claiming that some voters being turned away was \u201cvoter fraud.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe issue was resolved so a legal, eligible voter could be counted in this election. And actually, I was pleased to see the Trump campaign acknowledge the work that myself and Secretary [Al] Schmidt are doing here in Pennsylvania,\u201d Shapiro said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pennsylvania is a crucial battleground state for the candidates. In 2020, President Biden won the state, while Trump won it in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
