This subpoena serves no legitimate legislative purpose\u2014making it invalid, unconstitutional, and unenforceable,\u201d Authentic Campaigns CEO Mike Nellis said in a post on X late Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The House Judiciary Committee previously subpoenaed Authentic Campaigns, a company the daughter of the New York judge overseeing former President Trump\u2019s hush money trial has worked for. In a letter late last month, Jordan requested that Nellis sit for a deposition alongside the company, as well as sign a sworn affidavit that Authentic Campaigns never had contact with Judge Juan Merchan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nellis also posted the letter from his legal team to Jordan, encouraging his followers to read it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The letter states \u201cAuthentic\u2019s work is in no way connected to former President Trump\u2019s legal proceedings in New York,\u201d and that the company \u201chas had no role, involvement, or influence whatsoever in those proceedings.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYour repeated insinuations to the contrary, and your argument that Judge Merchan may not have been impartial in presiding over former President Trump\u2019s proceedings because of Authentic\u2019s \u2018work on behalf of President Trump\u2019s political adversaries and the possible financial benefit that Ms. Merchan and Authentic Campaigns received from the prosecution and conviction of President Trump,\u2019 is as baseless as it is dangerous,\u201d the letter continues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Democratic strategist who helped organize a \u201cWhite Dudes for Harris\u201d call said he is fighting back against a subpoena from Republican House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) on Friday. \u201cI am objecting to the subpoena issued by Jim Jordan and the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee in its entirety.
