Vice President Harris is set to place blame on former President Trump for the fall of Roe v. Wade on Monday, the anniversary of the historic Supreme Court decision that overturned the federal right to abortion access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harris will travel to Maryland for a campaign event on the two-year anniversary of the Supreme Court\u2019s Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization, which handed the issue of abortion back to the states. The Biden-Harris campaign announced the event Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Vice President will remind voters that Donald Trump is responsible for overturning Roe and the chaos that has followed, and she will highlight the threat a second Trump presidency would pose to reproductive freedom nationwide,\u201d the campaign wrote in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harris has been the leading voice out of the Biden administration pushing for reproductive rights after Roe was overturned and has traversed the country to meet with abortion advocates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vice president kicked off a \u201cFight for Reproductive Freedoms\u201d tour in January, which focuses on efforts to protect reproductive rights after dozens of states have enacted laws limiting abortion access in the past two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the tour and other campaign events, Harris often places the blame squarely on Trump for restrictive laws in the wake of Roe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Arizona in April, she argued Trump is \u201cgaslighting\u201d on abortion and warned against another Trump term.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
