Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham proposed a list of properties former President Trump would be most disappointed to have seized if he cannot pay the damages in his civil fraud case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think if it were to happen, 40 Wall Street is probably the one that he would\u2026I mean, he would hate it,\u201d Grishman told CNN\u2019s Erin Burnett Monday. \u201cBut I think if she tried to seize Mar-a-Lago or Bedminster or Trump Tower even, I mean those are his babies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got the Sterling golf course in Virginia. Any of the properties with golf courses, I think, would absolutely devastate him,\u201d Grisham, who worked under the Trump administration, added. \u201cIt will be interesting to see what she [James] goes for,\u201d said Grisham, who worked in the White House under Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In court filings Monday, Trump\u2019s legal team indicated it will be \u201cimpossible\u201d for them to secure the $454 million bond due in his New York fraud case. His attorneys said they spent \u201ccountless hours\u201d negotiating with \u201cone of the largest insurance companies in the world,\u201d and approached 30 companies to back the bond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former president was ordered last month to pay nearly $355 million \u2014 plus interest \u2013 after including he conspired to lie about his net worth to secure tax and insurance benefits. The judgement climbs about $112,000 in interest each day he does not pay, and it now amounts to over $454 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The verdict also prohibits Trump from working in New York real estate for three years. Judge Arthur Engoron already ruled that Trump \u2014 along with his business and adult sons \u2014 committed fraud before the case went to trial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Attorney General Letitia James (D), who brought the suit against the former president and business partners, suggested last month she is prepared to seize the former president\u2019s assets if he does not pay the verdict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf he does not have funds to pay off the judgment, then we will seek judgment enforcement mechanisms in court, and we will ask the judge to seize his assets,\u201d she told ABC News at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

James listed 40 Wall Street tower as one of the properties that could be seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some have suggested Trump could try to elicit foreign money to help pay his bills. Michael Cohen \u2014 the former president\u2019s ex-personal attorney, who has now become one of his most vocal critics \u2014 and Rep.
