The decor is generally not so partisan, the people said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In reference to the partisan decor, the White House said in a statement that \u201cto say politics is \u2018unusual\u2019 or isn\u2019t a thing is laughable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe men and women of this Trump administration work incredibly hard. To allow them the opportunity to enjoy some fun time and invite their families is something that we not only sanctioned, but actively promoted,\u201d the White House said. \u201cHundreds of children were able to attend and we\u2019re proud of the creativity that was shown.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An additional display titled \u201cSleepy Joe Hallow\u201d appeared to mock former president Joe Biden, who Trump has called \u201cSleepy Joe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other displays, posted on X by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller\u2019s wife Katie Miller, include one that read&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/KatieMiller\/status\/2115166203803234513?a=y7sZbUcJoKiSDsIWLuM&amp;s=20\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cMost Wanted: The Joe Biden Autopen,\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;referencing the former president\u2019s use of the mechanical device that replicates his signature, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/KatieMiller\/status\/2115167620429455752?a=fVig9Kr3igbeBmeODag&amp;s=20\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a faux McDonald\u2019s<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tuesday\u2019s party at the Eisenhower building was separate from a Halloween celebration held at the White House on Thursday, which included a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/dc-md-va\/2026\/10\/29\/presidents-plane-conducts-dc-flyover-halloween-white-house-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">low-altitude flyover<\/a>&nbsp;by the president\u2019s plane that scared some observers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trump administration staffers hosted a Halloween party this week in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building that included a reimagined Mount Rushmore with President Donald Trump\u2019s face and that of numerous Cabinet members, according to two people familiar with the matter and a photo reviewed by The Washington Post.
