But the chatbot reinforces delusions, encourages dangerous \u200bbehavior and assists users in planning violence like mass shootings, the lawsuits \u200bclaim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"458\" src=\"https:\/\/tingchao.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/\u4f01\u4e1a\u5fae\u4fe1\u622a\u56fe_20261015105746.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17867\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tingchao.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/\u4f01\u4e1a\u5fae\u4fe1\u622a\u56fe_20261015105746.png 700w, https:\/\/tingchao.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/\u4f01\u4e1a\u5fae\u4fe1\u622a\u56fe_20261015105746-300x196.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lawsuits represent the most significant coordinated state action against an artificial intelligence company, adding to a wave of legal challenges OpenAI faces as it prepares for a \u200bpublic listing. Florida&#8217;s attorney general filed the first such state suit in June.<br>The \u200blawsuits accuse the company of violating state consumer protection laws by misleading users about \u200cthe \u2060safety of ChatGPT. The states also allege that the company created a public nuisance by endangering the health of their residents.<br>The lawsuits seek orders forcing OpenAI to make changes to how ChatGPT works.
