{"id":15597,"date":"2026-04-07T12:30:03","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T04:30:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tingchao.xyz\/?p=15597"},"modified":"2026-04-07T12:30:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T04:30:07","slug":"family-finds-human-skull-in-long-beach-during-easter-egg-hunt-police-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tingchao.xyz\/?p=15597","title":{"rendered":"Family finds human skull in Long Beach during Easter egg hunt, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>An investigation is underway in Long Beach after a family discovered human remains during an Easter egg hunt in the area near DeForest Park and Wetlands on Sunday afternoon, according to police.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers told CBS LA that they were called to the 5900 block of De Forest Avenue at around 5 p.m. upon learning of the discovery.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Due to the circumstances, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner&#8217;s Office is responding to the scene,&#8221; police said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family members told CBS LA off-camera that what appeared to be the human skull and other bones of a small child were discovered in the middle of their holiday tradition while children were looking for Easter eggs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday afternoon, police confirmed that the discovered remains were human.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aerial footage shows several brightly-colored eggs on the path near what looked to be a partially-excavated skull in the ground. Must be tragic for them.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the investigation continues, police said that details would remain limited.
