President Trump\u2019s job approval has dipped by 3 points since March 2025 among registered voters, according to a new poll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the NBC News poll, 44 percent of respondents said they either \u201cstrongly\u201d or \u201csomewhat\u201d backed Trump\u2019s job performance, down from 47 percent in March 2025. Fifty-four percent of poll respondents said they were \u201cstrongly\u201d or \u201csomewhat\u201d not in favor of his job performance, up from 51 percent last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump has faced political headwinds on multiple fronts in the last few months, dealing with backlash over his immigration agenda, his administration\u2019s handling of files linked to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and sweeping Democratic election victories last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a polling average from Decision Desk HQ, Trump\u2019s approval rating is sitting at 43.1 percent, and his disapproval rating is at 54.4 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NBC News poll also found 53 percent of respondents backing Trump\u2019s work on border security, 44 percent backing his work on immigration and 41 percent supporting his efforts when it comes to Iran, with the U.S. currently involved in a conflict against the Middle Eastern country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, Trump warned of a possible Democratic victory in the upcoming midterm elections. The president has often noted the party in control of the White House historically performs poorly in the midterms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPresidents, whether it\u2019s Republican or Democrat, when they win, it doesn\u2019t make any difference. They seem to lose the midterms,\u201d Trump told conservative talk show host Will Cain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMaybe they want to put up a guard fence. You just don\u2019t know. It doesn\u2019t make sense,\u201d he said. \u201cHopefully we\u2019re going to change that around. We\u2019re doing great.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NBC News poll took place from Feb. 27 to March 3, featured 1,000 registered voters and had a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
