Francis L. Donovan, the commander of U.S. Southern Command, said in a statement. \u201cThis collaborative and decisive action is a strategic success for all nations in the Western Hemisphere committed to disrupting and defeating narcoterrorism.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, the U.S. military was solely carrying out lethal strikes against alleged drug-smuggling boats in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific. The U.S. forces have conducted at least 44 strikes and has killed a minimum of 150 \u201cnarco-terrorists\u201d in total.
