If we win, we will be the Richest, Most Secure Country anywhere in the World, BY FAR. If we lose, our Country could be reduced to almost Third World status \u2014 Pray to God that that doesn\u2019t happen!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump claimed in his social media post that taking away a president\u2019s ability to impose sweeping tariffs could lead to the \u201cruination of our Nation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Supreme Court will consider on Wednesday whether Trump can use the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose widespread blanket tariffs on imports from other countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump is the first president to have attempted to impose tariffs by invoking the statute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in a 7-4 decision affirmed a lower court\u2019s ruling that the tariffs were not authorized by the statute.
